MCS launch new Battery Storage Standard
National Certification scheme MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) have spent the last few months developing a new battery storage scheme, with input from Tesla, Sonnen, Moixa, Powervault, the STA and REA.
The quality assurance scheme provides the framework for the certification of microgeneration technologies used to produce electricity and heat from low carbon sources. It is believed to be one of the first standards suitable for the certification of complete battery storage installations.
Energy costs are always rising, and we are all affected by climate change so low-carbon energy technology has an increasingly vital role to play in the future of UK energy. MCS is a standards organisation for low-carbon products and gives reassurance that your installer is certified. Norcroft Energy are MCS accredited which indicates the quality installations we carry out are to industry standards for Solar PV technology.
