Norcroft Energy – The Apprenticeship Story
Norcroft Energy have had one apprentice complete their training through the JTL apprenticeship scheme and another has recently started, allowing our family run electrical and renewable energy business to offer full time employment to local young adults.
Electrical Apprenticeships with JTL training and Norcroft Energy offer young people the opportunity to discover what being a full-time electrician involves. Daily duties can include installing, maintaining and repairing electrical services, working indoors and outdoors and sometimes at height under your own initiative, reading building and engineering drawings and understanding wiring and circuit diagrams.
Sam Curl, has completed his apprentice training with Norcroft Energy and is now in full time employment with our company. It is seen as a win-win for both parties, with Sam gaining his qualifications and we are gaining a great newly qualified member of the team.
As Sam has finished, Lewis, has joined us during the last five months as our new apprentice. He is applying himself well to learn the new skills expected of him.
Sally Mosley, Director at Norcroft Energy said, “Both Sam and Lewis have settled well into their new working roles. Sam impressed throughout his Apprenticeship and is now a fully qualified member of the team. Lewis is busy working hard to adapting to working life, gaining experience as an apprentice electrician and is working towards his qualifications.”
“By offering Apprenticeships, we can combine practical electrical training alongside study to help young people progress in the industry. As a family-run business we highly value our Apprentices and want to ensure they are provided with a broad and rounded range of experiences.”
