A 2 panel (5m2) in roof Tisun Solar Thermal System. Installed Autumn 2012 and linked to a 500l thermal store with a dedicated solar coil. The thermal store also links to the biomass boiler. During the months May-September 2013 the solar thermal system took over from the biomass boiler, heating the store to provide FREE hot water for the property. The Solar Thermal not only saves on buying biomass fuel but prolongs the life expectancy of the boiler.
