Why you should invest in solar now
The Feed in Tariff or FIT which was launched in 2010 is a government scheme that was designed to provide an incentive for businesses and home owners in the UK to install a solar system. The FIT has allowed over 1 million solar installations to take place across the UK and in turn has had a positive knock on effect on the environment.
Unfortunately, the government scheme is coming to an end as of March 2019. So, if you’re thinking about investing in a solar system now really is the time to invest before the FIT is removed. Solar systems will continue to provide a fantastic energy saving option for homes long in to the future, and with advancements in the solar industry the cost of a solar installation will continue to reduce, increasing the accessibility for all to this ‘green’ energy source.
Act now
The FIT will end on the 31st March 2019, meaning you must have the solar system installed and registered before this date to take advantage of the FIT.
Get on board before the deadline and the FIT will continue to pay a guaranteed, index linked annual income for 20 years for generating your own electricity.
