Novel Human Fruit Machine raises funds for Barnsley Hospice
Norcroft Energy, who specialise in electrical and Solar PV solutions have donated £340 to Barnsley Hospice from the proceeds collected from their human fruit machine at this year’s Penistone Show and the company’s customer referral scheme.
The Human Fruit Machine entertained the crowds at this year’s show, by offering visitors the chance to match up three images on the ring of a bell. In a similar way to a standard fruit machine, however with the twist being that the Norcroft Energy team were inside the machine showing the images. Visitors were asked to donate to play, with prizes to be won if the three images shown matched.
Sally Mosley Director at Norcroft Energy said, “We love attending the Penistone Show to meet both existing and new customersnd this year was no different, even with the rain in the afternoon.
The human fruit machine was an idea we had earlier this year, and we thought it would be a fun way to engage visitors and help raise funds for Barnsley Hospice. The hospice provides fantastic support to the local community and as a team we wanted to raise funds for the charity as it is a cause close to our hearts. The game proved popular and despite the weather, crowds started to gather to watch the action.”
